Refresh your coffee maker

A clean coffee maker is essential for brewing fresh and savory tasting coffee. And, while washing all the removable pieces of your coffee maker is one important step in keeping it clean, what of the inside? A few months ago I came across this tip on the back of a bottle of white distilled vinegar to refresh the inside of your coffee maker. It works!

What you will need:
1 16 oz. bottle of white distilled vinegar
1 coffee pot full of water

Make sure all the removable components of your coffee maker are clean and ready to be used. Simply pour the bottle of vinegar into the water reservoir and "brew." When the cycle is complete discard the vinegar, rinse the coffee pot, then fill the reservoir with a pot full of clean water. "Brew" again to rinse. Discard the rinse water. Repeat the rinse cycle if you desire.
