I've realized over the past couple of weeks that sunlight, particularly in the early morning and the late afternoon, is what inspires me to take photos. When I see sharp angles of sunlight brightening something, anything, making it all golden and shiny and fresh I want nothing more than to pick up the camera, look behind the lens, and capture it.
One morning last week on the way out the door I couldn't help but stop long enough to snap this shot of the sun's eastern rays lighting up my great-grandmonther's pie safe in the dining room.
