New and thrifty

How is it that our humble little town is home to this new sleek building?

Its design was a collaborative project between a handful of architecture students and a local architect (and friend).

The building is constructed of recycled and sustainable building materials. Are those corrugated metal exterior panels repurposed shipping containers? Yes, they are! How appropriate considering this building is home to a local thrift store.

Even the interior shines with purposeful design and color.

Notice the wall art created with thrifted items.

I love the high ceiling and natural light, as well as the simple and organized floor space. Now... to find some mod treasures, that is the goal!
