A new twist on an old classic

Under the creative inspiration of Yves Behar, Coca-Cola is looking for ways to make their company more globally sustainable. Part of this endeavor includes experimenting with alternatives to plastic bottles, which has led to this idea... an aluminum coke bottle.

Modeled after the iconic glass contoured Coke bottle that was originally designed by the Root Glass Company of Terre Haute, Indiana in 1915 and then redesigned by Raymond Loewy in 1954, this sleek, new twist on a classic design is made entirely of aluminum, and just like the can, is completely recyclable. From what I understand it will be in production for a limited time.
