Christmas Fun

6:43 a.m. We started building a Toyland around the Christmas tree.

After the dart gun and model motorcycles, books and games were unwrapped... after the little guys inhaled candy for breakfast while the older and wiser savored apple strudel... after we hit a lull...

Then the professor pulled out the Quadrilla marble run.

Oh my! Instant fascination and utter delight.

This year racing marbles takes the cake. Hours of fun... for two little boys, two mod-parents, and some grandparents, too. We. are. hooked.

In the past twenty-four hours I have cooked, and cooked, and cooked. I tried to enjoy a Christmas Eve service while managing two squirmy, excited boys. I stuffed stockings, played games, raced marbles, and become an expert in all these related to dart guns. Now I will settle in to be still and enjoy one of the coziest nights of the year.

Happy Christmas to all... and to all a good night!
