Making and Decking

Today I visited second grade armed with delicious bits of tissue paper, Modge Podge, and plain, gray plastic ball ornaments. {Why plastic? Second graders are delightful, energetic, and exuberant about Christmas; I didn't dare send them home with breakable ornaments in their backpacks.}


We talked about using colors, patterns, and textures in art while adding them to our ornaments. We decoupaged to our hearts content... about as long as our 30-minute attention spans would allow.


At home, per Little Brother's directions, we hung a few things... after all it is the first day of December!
