Speaking of wild things... the boys created a hideout under our giant holly bush. Much to their delight, the hiding place was complete with running water, which is necessary for filling water guns. Of course. {If we're wearing shorts and t-shirts in January we may as well be playing with water guns, too. Right?!}

Unbeknownst to all of us, they managed to break an underground water line that feeds part of our antiquated, mid-century-era irrigation system. Six hours later a friend called our attention to the water pouring off the north end of our property. Note to self: When it's time to pay the water bill try to remember how much fun they were having and be thankful for their imaginations!
