On Saturday we visited Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA. What a gorgeous place! I have never visited a botanical garden that met its equal.
I particularly enjoyed the water lily garden -- such beautiful, saturated colors...
...lively greens, sunny yellows, pure white, and delicate purple...
...bold patterns...
...surprising textures...
...and delicacy as fine as lace.
Such beauty and charm! I shouldn't have been surprised to spot tiny flower fairies enjoying the water garden as much as me!
And, yes, for a few hours on Saturday as we rambled about the gardens I think I DID fancy myself to be fairy flitting about in an enchanting fairyland!
