At the north end of downtown stands the Freewheeler building, the side of which is a painted billboard, a focal point when driving down our town's main street. For years the Freewheeler was a local bicycle shop, now it's just a vacant building {with a lot of potential}. Late one afternoon last week I visited the old place with my camera in hand. Here are my three best shots in the series, and why I like them.

I love the gradient of light captured in this shot... bright, nearly shiny, late afternoon sunlight at the top left, dark and saturated color at the bottom right.


I think the middle shot is my favorite. The composition appeals to me and I like the saturated colors.
