The humidity is high, the bugs are biting, and the slip-n-slide has lost its appeal. The dog days of summer have arrived. These are the afternoons for staying indoors, for art projects at the dining room table. The boys and I made Micro Flyers, mini paper airplanes constructed from a kit they received as a gift. Sister chose to paint. "Favorite fing do... paint," she informed me. That explains the make-up brushes dipped in the toilet. I guess. Everyone was cool and happily occupied for over an hour. Then, because we can't keep still for too long, we strapped on helmets and went for a bike ride... in the heat.
