An update on Bundibugyo

Thank you to all of you who are praying for Doctors Scott and Jennifer Myhre and the people of Bundibugyo, Uganda as they serve and live in the epicenter of the most recent Ebola outbreak.

We should praise God today. The Myhre's report that the illness seems to be contained. Scott wrote on their blog, "In our daily visits I sense a slight lightening of spirit, a hope." Many are still ill -- cumulative cases, 128; cumulative deaths, 34.

Another praise is that Jennifer completed the appropriate waiting period symptom-free and has now left Bundibugyo to be reunited with their 4 children.

Please continue to pray that God will protect Scott and the other health care workers who are so bravely and compassionately caring for the the ill. They are tired, physically and emotionally. Pray that the outbreak will remain contained. Pray for the people of Bundibugyo -- for those who are ill and grieving, that God will make their hearts receptive to the hope of the Gospel. Finally, pray that the Gospel will go out with power and might changing lives. That God would use this terrible situation to further His kingdom on earth for His glory.
