Making a list, checking it twice

For Boo:
- a digital camera
- a watch
- thrift store books
- a board game
- a Transformer (he knows nothing about the cartoon and movie, but he's fascinated with these nonetheless)

For Tukes:
- Amazing Machines books
- Adirondack chair
- a car model (to play with, not put together!)
- Hot Wheels storage case (perhaps I won't have to dig quite so many out of the sofa cushions)
- thrift store books

To do:
- wrap presents
- bake kolaches
- plan meal menus for Christmas Eve and the day after Christmas
- pick up smoked turkey from the local barbecue joint
- host Christmas party for a small group of kids
- grocery shop
- accomplish a short list of local errands
- make more cupcakes, granola, and bread

Christmas of 2002 Boo was 4 months old; my dad gave me this ornament. At the time I thought it was cute but aside from it marking Boo's first Christmas it didn't hold a lot of sentimental significance. Fast forward to Spring of this year. I started telling the boys that Boo is my Christopher Robin and Tukes is my Winnie the Pooh. Many mornings after breakfast I'll find them sitting together in the rocking chair reading books. Imagine my delight when I rediscovered this ornament a few weeks ago as we unpacked the Christmas decorations!
